This message is for everyone who touched our lives in 2011 -

It is the end of yet another year of service at LPE. We are seven years and counting! We concluded our holiday program for the year just today. Tired and overwhelmed with the responsibility of service we managed to take a few minutes before heading home to our family to reflect on the year. We counted our blessings and thanked our Father In Heaven for blessing our lives with countless acts of kindness from our supporters. Your help allowed us to serve, and for that we are so thankful!! We reflected on the families we served. The families that have given so much to this country through their own personal sacrifices. Our troops who travel around the globe in service of our country who leave those they love behind in the care of others. We ask a special blessing upon these wonderful families and our troops, and we pray for their safety, good health, and happiness.

Our programs run all year as the need is every day not just at the holidays. You might have read lately that our troops are coming home! Yes many are home but many are not. We end this year with over 6,000 children on our wait list for 2012! A record for us. This tells us our 2012 will be busy! We know the hard work that must now go into fundraising to provide our programs for these children. But we also agree we are up for the task. As we continue to count our blessings we are overwhelmed by each sponsor, corporation and individual, who helped LPE change the life of a military child and service member spouse. You are our rock! Together we gave these families peace of mind in knowing that their family is loved and that people care.

I was told a long time ago that miracles take place when you least expect them to happen. This year I can testify that we have experienced miracles once again at LPE! Our miracles came to us in the form of strangers who came to help us when we were desperate to serve others. I want to thank each one of you and may God bless you for having such a generous heart.

We’re so excited to have just launched a new LPE program ~ Project Bear Essentials.
We went to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, where over 50 children attended with a parent. It was a successful event that we will repeated for other children who could benefit from this new program.
So exciting!
